WHY ANOTHER INDIAN PAGE ?

Well I suppose the first answer that comes to mind is: Why not? If
nothing else ever becomes clear to you, you must realize that grouping any
people together in a homogeneous mass is not only an exercise in insanity,
it just won't work. Indians are as different as anybody else. Some people
will tell you most Indians prefer the name of their tribe to Native
American. Then, you'll see Indians refer to themselves as Native Americans.
I just can't bring myself to use the term, outside of being a proud patriot. My
wife is of Celtic descent (with a little Teutonic and Jewish thrown in the
mix just for stabilization) and she's an NA.

Multiculturalism is just another socialist buzz-word. I don't have
to "celebrate" the differences in our cultures to respect and honor them.
While our heritage is the root of who and what we are, what we are NOW is
what makes the diffence between being a strong country and a war zone like
Belfast or a boiling political pressure cooker like Quebec. It's so much
more important to emphasize what we have in common than to hurl our
differences in each other's faces.

What made America great was our unique ability to raise people to
the standard. Now we lower the standard just to appease the uneasy liberal
soul. No thanks, I can take care of myself, I see what you did to help my
people. We do better by standing on our own, leaning on self-reliance, not
letting you fill our hearts, minds, and hands with the crumbs leftover from
your charity feasts. Don't go out and fly a kite in a park, or parade your
dog at some benefit and feel like you did something. And you, over there,
close that hand around a tool (instead of a welfare check) and go to work.
Taking the handout just might keep you down (like you're always complaining
about). Look, I've been there. Trust me, no one keeps you down but yourself.

Let's face it, warm fuzzies and bitter bellies don't do any of us
any good. Be yourself. Be as good as you know how. That's all the Creator
really asks of us anyway.

When we cry, we really cry for ourselves. We we try, we try for
those who came before and paid for our freedom.

Well, that's my opinion (at least one of them). Don't agree? E-mail
me. Then step up to the line and start your own page. Your opinion is just
as important as anyone else's (heck, I'll even give you a hand putting it
up).
